What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy is a evidence-based integrative practice that supports physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It incorporates movement, breath regulation (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation techniques to help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and support the management of a range of health conditions in conjunction with medical or mental health care.
Carli offers private Yoga Therapy sessions for clients at Rising Roads Recovery, supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders, complex PTSD, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Each session is personalized to meet you where you are and gently guide you toward greater resilience and self-awareness.

Carli has been practicing Yoga Asana (movement) for over a decade, becoming deeply knowledgable of the psychosomatic benefits and deep healing offered with mindful movement. Through years of study, personal practice, and intensive training, she has developed a passion and gift for holding space for the healing, grounding, and deep release of the mental, emotional and physical bodies.
Carli is trained in many styles, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga, all rooted in trauma-informed care principles. She is a certified Yoga Alliance instructor, receiving her 200-hour certification from Dharma Shakti of Yogalution Movement.
While practicing Yoga with Carli, participants are offered a chance to explore somatic awareness, mindful breathing, asanas (or postures), and grounding meditation. These tools, combined with positive affirmations, create a sense of personal empowerment Carli aims to impart on each of her students for use on and off their yoga mats.
